Real Raw Beginnings
My first post as I commit to being a raw vegan...Oh boy.
Im going to be honest in saying that this is not going to be an easy journey. The temptation of food is all around me as it is for everyone. My passion is my health though and if I want to take it very seriously then I feel like I must become a raw vegan.
Why on earth would I want to become a raw vegan?
The reality is that cooked food is tough on the body. Cooking food alters is natural state and makes it much more difficult for the body to digest. Do you notice that when you eat cooked food loaded with meat and dairy that you feel sedentary following consumption?
This is because your body is putting great amounts of energy into breaking down the complex food that you have just consumed. As a high carbohydrate consuming raw vegan this is never the case. Consuming large amounts of fruits and a few raw vegetables allows your body to put very little effort into digesting the food you are consuming, leaving you with more energy to do what you want! Not only that but fruit, while demonized as being "too sugary" and "fattening", is an incredible source of perfect nutrition that is fantastically balanced between protein, carbs and fats.
This post begins my journey. I will be getting my first order of fruit within a week and from there beginning the long journey to perfect health as a raw vegan. This is one of the toughest dietary journeys anyone can make so wish me luck!
